Ingredients

1, 3-dichloro-5, 5-dimethylhydantoin, 1, 3-dichloro-5-ethyl-5-methylhydantoin, anionic and nonionic surfactants, and silicate. Contains no phosphorus.

Directions

For best results, clean toilet bowl thoroughly, including under the rim. Cut open pouch. Do not touch tablet directly. Flush toilet. When water level in tank is low, drop tablet in tank near side wall and away from water valve opening. When tablet has dissolved, add a new Clorox Bleach and Blue Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaner tablet to help keep your bowl fresh. Tablet should be used in toilets that are flushed daily. Otherwise, water color may vary. Each tablet’s lifetime may vary.

I’ve only ever seen blue or bleach toilet tablets so I’m happy to have blue and bleach tablets together in one tablet. There is still a dark blue rinse in the water. The tablet is the same size as other regular tablets. It is not the mini mint size tablets. It is of good quality for the money. I’m happy with the tablets.

Does what it is supposed to do. Advertises that the four tablets in the package lasts for 16 months, which is four months per tablet. I can't see these lasting that long but we'll see. I'll update this when i use the next tablet, which should be the end of july. UPDATE; Here we are on june 8th and the tablet as far as cleaning only worked for a couple of weeks. The blue water in the bowl is just about gone now. It was 2 1/2 months, which surprised me, i was thinking a month and a half. Strong when you first put it in the tank for a couple of weeks, both the clorox and the blue, then the blue slowly fades away.

After using these tablets for a couple of months, I don't think my toilet bowl is noticeably cleaner. They do have a fresh scent, and they deodorize to some extent, but at least once a week, I see bright blue streaks and blobs inside my toilet that I need to wipe away. Also, the dark blue water makes it difficult to see the stains and residue that are there. So, then the stains are harder to clean when the tablet runs out. Not a fan of this product!! I think I'm moving away from blue/green colored cleaners and going for something more natural that will truly clean stains and mineral build up.

The packaging for Clorox Bleach & Blue says that it “Continuously cleans, prevents stains, and deodorizes.” It also suggests that each tablet last four months. The problem is, none of these things are true. Clorox Bleach & Blue doesn’t clean, if causes stains and creates, and its deodorizing action is a matter of conjecture. It also won’t last anywhere near four months.

If you’re familiar with the traditional Clorox bleach tables, then you know these maintain their integrity for months as they slowly dissolve and release their bleaching chemicals into your tank water. And Bleach & Blue is designed to work the same way, except this is a compound loses integrity too quickly and won’t disperse evenly. The bleach is gone in a few weeks while the blue gel turns into a goo that settles onto the bottom of the tank and is expelled in uneven clumps into the bowl with each flush. Yes, it turns your water blue, but it will also leave these clumps and streaks trapped in the flush valve and passages where, over time, they slows dissolve and streak your toilet bowl. This leaves your toilet bowl it looking like a scene from a Smurf slasher movie the next time you lift the lid.

After three to four weeks, the bleach is gone and the blue goo is lingering in clumps in your tank. Your bowl water left as a faint blue as dark blue clumps release and streak. All the while, grime and bacteria are still forming in your bowl. That’s right, nothing is being cleaned. And now manual cleaning becomes a disaster that will stain anything in your toilet area including the seat, blue. So what’s the point?

I can only conclude that the five star reviews of this product are disingenuous or sponsored, because, these tablets do not perform in the manner consistent with their presentation or representation. But if you want a blue mess to clean up, by all means, buy these things.
