The solid white setting is brighter than the colored ones. The colored setting changes colors all night. I tried to set them all in sequence but it didn’t work. The light design in a tiered landscape bed looks very nice. I put these lights on 2 different tiers of 1 of my beds, and the design shows nicely. When put in the bed adjacent to a sidewalk, you don't see the design until you get close to where the lights are located. I already had color-changing round disk solar lights at the edge of the beds around the perimeter of my home next to the sidewalk; they are noticeably brighter than these pathway lights. I believe that you cannot replace the battery without affecting the waterproof fixture, which is not good. The product description does not specifically mention if you can replace the batteries.
