But, Trees Grow Too, Right?

Yes, but the complex ecosystem that is a forest is gone forever. A forest is biodiverse. Over time, it is populated by different species of plants, animals and other living things at all stages of growth. They depend on each other, creating a complex ecosystem our climate depends on. It can't be replicated. Big Paper basically replants tree farms: only 1 or 2 species of the fastest growing trees all planted at once so they can get cut down again. This is why tree-free matters.

How is Caboo a more Earth-conscious choice than recycled paper?

In addition, bamboo’s natural rhizome (root) network protects soil from erosion and retains moisture, and bamboo can grow in environments with depleted soil and little water. The Caboo toilet paper arrived and I thought this isn't going to work. The roll is smaller than Costco brand. It's only one ply versus Costco's two ply. It's likely to tear thru. Then we ran out of the current roll of toilet paper and I opened the Caboo. First time I used it I was surprised that it was tougher than Costco's yet still soft. Time went on and we started our second roll of Caboo toilet paper. By now my opinion is changing and as we continued to use the Caboo I also noticed that each roll was lasting longer than the apparently larger Costco toilet paper. Hmm. Maybe I judged it prematurely because I was wrong. Does a better job, lasts longer and is both softer and stronger. Add environmentally friendly and I have to say that this is a winner. I'd still like to see a slightly larger sheet.

Can’t believe I’m writing an enthusiastic review for toilet paper, but here we are… ordered because of the ecological benefits to bamboo over traditional tree pulp, assuming it would be OK at best, as most ecologically sound alternatives are at this point, but this is an incredibly strong, soft, and absorbent TP. Best of all, nearly zero dust fibers flying around - for a clean wiping experience. 10/10 recommended, and their paper towels are fantastic too!

I was skeptical based on other reviews, but I found this toiler paper to be great! No complaints from our household. The inner roll is also much sturdier than standard toilet paper and is excellent for crafts! Lol
