This is probably my second favorite face wash after the gel one! I usually order my skincare from Brickell (including the anti aging routine) off their website but amazons two day shipping got me here! I can use this charcoal wash as my main face wash, twice a week and it works wonders for my face, don’t have to worry about dryness at all. Smells nice and makes my face super smooth and fresh feeling. This alongside the moisturizer and also before anti aging cream. Will order again when I run out (last a while).

I've used other charcoal face washes but this one is very light, refreshing and rinses off easily with no traces of the beneficial charcoal left behind. The scent is great too, and doesn't linger after rinsing. After using it for several days now, I feel its getting my face cleaner, never dry, and reduces the appearance of pores on my nose.

Background:
I have used quite a few Brickell products, namely - Restoring Eye Cream, Revitalizing Anti-Aging Cream, Daily Essential Face Moisturizer, and Renewing Face Scrub. All these products have been top-notch.

Pros: Clarifying charcoal facial cleanser shows similar great quality as I have come to expect from Brickell. The scent is amazing, and so subtle. It is made for sensitive skin, and leave my face/beard filling clean and soft after using it.

Cons:

Consistency: The consistency of the face wash is quite thin, which make it somewhat difficult to use in the shower. It tends to run off quite easily if your hands are already wet. I have modified my use, started to use this cleanser during my usual face washing over the sink.

All in all, this is a very good product that I will use and recommend.

I love the consistency of this! It's actually thinner than I imagined it would be but it glides so well when applying and I love the smell. It's not too overpowering or masculine and it is mostly gone when I rinse with water. My skin is really dry in most seasons of Colorado weather and I have noticed an improvement since using it!
Well worth the price tag.

My go-to face cleanser. I've tried many, but I've never found a cleanser that can replace the Purifying Charcoal Face Wash as my first choice. The activated charcoal cleanses your face effectively while the gentle formulation, aloe and vitamin E keep your face nourished and moisturized. Particularly excellent if you have sensitive skin. Works great as the first step in a multi-step facial routine, but also stands on its own or paired with just a moisturizer.

Because nothing in life is perfect, this isn't either, though it comes close. I've found it to be most effective with normal to dry skin types. Less effective on oily skin, I'd recommend stepping up a stronger formulation in that case. My only other complaint is that it's scented. As far as scented products go, it's top of the line -- a pleasant, gentle, non-irritating scent. That being said, I still use this as my twice daily cleanser, which is a testament to how damn good it is at it's primarily task. More than makes up for the mild inconvenience of the scent.

It is a nice product and leaves a smoothness effect on the skin. However it is runny and doesn't lather well. This doesn’t spread well over any facial hair. This product would be better for women. This doesn’t leave my face as clean as I would like, however it does leave it smooth. It is too runny for the price and size if you have facial hair you'll be needing to use too much of it. I would also like a stronger clean smell from it. From all the vitamins it has a little funky odor to me.

Let me start off by saying, I that I have not always been the best at keeping a consistent skin regimen, however after using Brickell’s face wash, the refreshing feeling during after use makes me want to keep using it—regularly.

It has a minty, zesty fragrance that really awakens the senses and when applying feels good on the skin. I typically use it after being in the shower for about 5-10min, so using it in conjunction with the steam really gives a spa-like feel to the experience. If I have time, I’ll throw on some relaxing rain/zen music to really set the mood.

All in all, this was a great purchase. I’m looking forward to trying more of their products and solidifying my skincare routine.

I had been looking at trying a Charcoal Face Wash, and as I had tried this one in the sample kit I got from Brickell and liked it, I thought I would buy a full bottle to give it a proper try and I'm so glad I did !
I absolutely love it, it makes my skin feel soft and smooth and refreshed after using it, it doesn't dry it out, and it leaves it with a slight matte finish, and less shiny than normal, so I know it is balancing the oil in my skin, and it smells great too ! And I like that it uses Natural ingredients as well !
It is yet another great product from the Brickell range, I have been most impressed with a lot of their products and I would highly recommend this Charcoal face wash to anyone !!!
