The first Bose unit I received updated all night after I hooked it up at 4:00 PM. When it continued to try to update, I rebooted it the following day at 2 pm and it never worked again, just acted like it was updating. Bose tried to get me to send it back for repair when I had only had it for one day (up to 4 week turnaround for repairing a brand new item?!), and had never even heard it. I insisted on an exchange, and they eventually agreed. Almost a week later I got my new one in. It’s been updating itself for almost 4 hours now. I feel like there’s no in sight with this thing. Will I ever hear what it sounds like?! If this works and Bose redeems themselves I will update the reviews. I’m skeptical.
Update: two in a row that got stuck in an ‘update loop’ and could not communicate by any means. I never used either speaker once. POS. And the second time I have to repackage all of this and drive 30 minutes to the UPS store. Shame on Bose quality control.
