My old antenna was just a piece of the old-style antenna wire you could buy in the store. The reception was not very good and would change if you walked around the room. I installed this antenna and what a difference it made. My stereo did not have a place to plug this antenna in so I cut the plug off and stripped the wire back so I could twist them together. Wrapped it with some electrical tape and hung it up.

Works well with my Bose Wave IV, added a few more stations! I use a Bose Wave IV in the my garage, its nice at times to just listen to the radio to get a break from the same 10 songs streaming apps play...over...and...over. The antenna added clarity to the stations it was already getting, and added at least 3-4 more stations. Sadly I don't have a great place for the antenna and it might get more stations if I had the ability to properly mount it to the rafter. I recommend this! It has different connection adapters to fit the antenna connector your device has.

Don't expect any great improvement; rather a little extra signal in addition to the usual power cord/antennae used by most radios, including my Bose Wave. Easy installation and well built.

I am giving this a 4.5 star because it worked really well. I just couldn't find a spot in my room to install it without it being an eye sore that my wife couldn't get around so I am returning it for a copper wire version that can be hidden.

This unit performed good and I can recommend it to anyone that likes or wants this type of antenna. I seen people complaining about it failing down. Either I am missing something they were doing but for me, if you just turn the antenna 90 degrees it can't fall because the joint it swivels on can't bend down.

This was bought for a used Bose radio I bought for my kitchen. After it was set up and working, I turned off the radio till the next day. Turning it on there was lousy reception. With my previous experience that my garage door opener was not working right with the LED bulbs causing a radio frequency interference, I shut off my kitchen ceiling LED lights. That was the reception problem. I get more stations clearer, better sound, using this antenna. I am finding that LED lights near receivers such as my garage door opener and any radio causes reception problems no matter how good the antenna is.

A Dipole antenna shouldn't cost a lot, and this one would have received 5 stars if it had been priced slightly lower. This antenna does what should but it could stand a little more gain. Perhaps if the dipole section was a bit longer it would perform better. It functions well enough and the long lead in wire is handy. Like all Dipole antennas, it is directional, which is useful if you have two competing stations and you wish to exclude one. If you have old Twin Lead around, you can make a dipole for less than this one costs but for an "out of the box" solution, this isn't a bad antenna.
