 I started baking sourdough bread recently using Dutch ovens at really high temperatures. This oven mitt is the best I’ve found at protecting against the heat. It is sturdy, durable and comfortable to wear. I have no trouble grasping the different sized handles of various pots and pans.

I didn’t notice in the description I was only purchasing a single mitt (my fault). So I ended up buying a second because they performed so well. Just something to be aware of.

This holds up to heat great. I wish I bought the darker color because I use it with cast iron pans a lot and got dirty very quickly. I don't find the silicon stripes necessary they are gimmicky and the sticky feedback I get is confusing. I would use towels before and would inevitably burn myself. I also had silicon mittens and they are an absolute joke - you can't even hold a hod coffee mug without burning yourself. Also, dexterity is good. I have read some reviews of similar products and one of the things that stuck out was the bad fit and the way it affects operation. I don't think this applies to this product. It fits me well and I am confident when holding pots and pans. Tis is a very good buy.

These are great oven mitts. They last! I have a pair for 8 years and bought a second as a gift. The grip on them is fantastic for heavy sheets or if you have small hands like myself. They wash easily in the washing machine and don’t lose their shape
