This really has a soap feel -- leaves your skin feeling squeeky clean, not smooth like most body washes. At first I thought it might make my skin feel dry, but it didn't. I used a little body lotion after the shower, as I usually do, and I feel cleaner than usual 48 hours after my shower. My impression is that this is like an old fashioned soap, but that it is gentle -- for adults. I got some in one of my eyes one time and it really hurt and my eye was red for most of the day. I wouldn't recommend this soap for children. Also hurt when I showered after a bit of sunburn. I still like the soap, but it's a bit harsh for some purposes.
