I have order this product twice and the difference in quality definitely shows. Comparing both orders, the new clips were slightly smaller in size, not as thick, and not as sturdy. Even the handles and end of the clips are different in size. I would like to send this back and possibly receive the original product.

Having curly hair [3c-4a] is a challenge, particularly in finding curl-friendly products. I use the clips when air drying my hair, which, after tugging the coils, is a bit longer than shoulder length. I've tried other clips, but those readily broke.. These clips have little raised "gripper dots" on the part one pinches to operated the clip: this is especially nice given that my fingers also have a bit of leave-in conditioner or gel etc on them. Most likely, like you, I've had experience w flying hair clips. The hinges are sturdier than other companies', in that, I've used this original set for over 6 months and not one has broken nor come apart. I also like the alligator teeth: the inside is sufficient to hold, yet not get caught/sunshine my hair. As curls dry, of course, they tend to tendril around the clip, however, I've not had any hair pull out, snag, nor break. The clips are a comfortable weight: my hair is a bit thick and air drying is about 4 hours. I've sometimes tossed an adjustable satin bonnet over the clips and slept in them. [I repositioned any that bother the pillow ;) ]. As with any clip or hair assessors, I do remove clips slowly and cautiously, not wanting to inadvertently catch hair or a coil. It's more painless, by just pinching the clip and slowly removing it. Thanks for reading this far:
