I purchased his book yesterday, it is without doubt one of the great masterpieces of modern literature. .
Combining as it does, the artistic skills of a Da Vinci or a van Gogh, the literary skills of a Bob Dylan, the historical skills of an A.J.P. Taylor or an Eric Hobsbawm, the wit of an Oscar Wilde or a Stephen Fry and the football analysis skills of a Michael Owen or a Robbie Savage - this book should be in everyone's Christmas stocking, even if you don't like football. Especially if you don't like football.
