ブラウンのシリーズ9proも所持していますが、ラムダッシュの方が明らかに振動も少なく早く良く剃れます。ただ、アゴ下の寝たヒゲはどうしても残りますね。
後、6枚刃故に肌との接触面が大きい分摩擦で滑りが悪いのと、ブラウンと同じくトリマー刃は全く何の役にも立っていない点がマイナスです。
と言うことで、正直5枚刃でも良かったかな？と思っています。

ブラウンシリーズ9と比較すると、ラムダッシュ6枚刃の方がしっかり深剃り出来ます(ジェル併用)。青髭も以前より目立たなくなり、パフォーマンスの違いは歴然です！
もし青髭を気にしている方が居たら、ラムダッシュ6枚刃を強くお勧めします。

中国製のブラウンは良くなかったので これに変えました。今のブラウンはドイツ製となっていますので比較できませんが。　ただ、メーカーに聞きましたら、充電器？掃除？の物は中国製らしいです。音が大きくて気に入りませんが仕方ないのでしょうか。

Although I own the top models from all leading producers, Braun and Philips, I will compare this new Panasonic to my past favorite, my trusted Panasonic ES-LV9C as it was the best shaver for my extremely sensitive skin and tough beard. I have decided not to buy 9D, 9E, and 9F iterations of the same model, but when I saw the announcement, I knew I must try a Panasonic ES-LS9AX as soon as possible. I am happy to report the shaver has far exceeded my expectations. I have been buying the top-of-the-line Panasonic shavers for over 25 years and this is the best Panasonic shaver yet. Arguably, Panasonic ES-LS9AX is the best shaver in the World, at least for my skin.

1. Shaving Performance

I always shave wet with shaving cream, preparing my skin in a traditional way. Using a Panasonic shaver, I am usually getting a traditional shaving result but without any blood, nicks, or irritation. This new shaver provides a slightly closer shave, slightly softer touch than a 5-blades shaver, and quicker shave, 2-3 minutes instead of 5-6 minutes. The new shaver improves in the neck area and behind the ears where the foil shavers usually struggle. Are these improvements worth 50,000 – 60,000 yen? Probably not, if you have a 5-blades shaver in good working condition, you should not probably switch. However, if you want the latest and greatest or you need to buy a new shaver in any event, in this case, the Panasonic ES-LS9AX is the best shaver in the World you can buy at the present time. I am yet to try an Izumi IZF-V990-N, which looks promising, but it is very hard to switch after 25 years of my continuous loyalty to the Panasonic brand.

2. Ergonomics

The shaver is slightly bigger than a 9C, very pleasant to hold, it has very good ergonomics and balance, a feast of Japanese engineering. Like all high-end Panasonic shavers, and ES-LS9AX is made in Japan. The shaver comes with a USB case, which is also made in Japan. The case is bulky and heavy, I think, it would not be convenient for travel purposes. I will continue using my trusted Panasonic ES-CV70-S, which is the best travel shaver in my opinion, until Panasonic introduces a 6-blades travel shaver. A washing station is made in China, as always, and I think, it produces more noise than the previous generation. It is also a bit bigger but not by much.

3. Technological Advancement

Izumi introduced a 6-blades shaver in September of 2020. Panasonic was a bit late in introducing their 6-blades shaver in May of 2021 but it appears to be a bit more refined and sophisticated than Izumi. Panasonic ES-LS9AX has a new LCD display, which looks great and it shows the power percentage left. For some reason, it no longer shows the shave time, which is surprising and annoying. Panasonic has decided to include neither wireless charging nor smartphone app, which Philips started introducing some time ago. Panasonic finally introduced USB charging, but only if you put a shaver to a bulky and heavy charging case, which is available exclusively to the most expensive model. In summary, while the shaver is excellent for intended purposes, it would be desirable for Panasonic to upgrade the next generations of this shaver with more advanced features, especially considering the price Panasonic charges currently.

バッテリーの持続時間は問題なし。剃り心地良く敏感肌の方にもオススメできます。静音性はかなり頑張ってる感じがします。
１年と半年以上使用してますが、外装のラバーゴムが劣化していきます。私は消耗品と割切り愛用してますが、キレイな外装を維持したい方には向きません。プラメッキの方が良かったのではと感じました。

While my Arc 5 shaver still works fine, I snagged this Arc 6 shaver when it was $65 off, as the battery in my Arc 5 is beginning to show its age, I wanted a Panasonic Arc shaver which runs while plugged in (most don't, but this one does!), and I was hoping the "improved" head would mean a bit faster shave.

Indeed, the biggest difference in the Arc 6 is the new foil head which has two (2) lift blades (one more than the Arc 5). This means the Arc 6 lift blades are closer to the edge of the foil than those of the Arc 5, which does make shaving under your nose a bit easier.

The Arc 5 and Arc 6 shave closer than the Braun's do (I used Braun shavers for several years before getting an Arc 5), but there is still room for improvement. Neither Panasonic, nor Braun, have perfected the electric shaver foil. The holes in the Arc foils are all quite small, which means you need to make more passes to get all the hairs cut and the lift blades end up doing a lot more work than they should. Panasonic could drastically improve the time needed to shave if they made some of the holes larger for thicker hairs or changed two of the foil sections to have slightly larger holes. One might argue the new head of the Arc 6 would not have been needed if they had simply improved the holes in Arc 5 foil.

The only downside to the Arc 6 over the Arc 5 is the head lock. When I lock my Arc 5's head and shake the water out after rinsing it, the head stays locked. The Arc 6 head lock can be shook loose fairly easily and the head connection is rather flimsy in comparison to the Arc 5. This is because of the "Game-Changing 22D Flexible Shaver Head," which is a good example of over-engineering creating problems where none existed. Yes, depending on how hard you press your shaver to your face, the Arc 6 spring-mounted head can reduce pressure on the skin a little bit, which arguably could minimize skin irritation in comparison with 5-Blade LV97 (Arc 5), but I honestly think the flexibility of the Arc 5 head was flexible enough and its head lock stayed locked.

All that said, the Arc 6 is a great shaver, and if you can afford it, I would recommend it over the Arc 5, but only just a bit - the Arc 6 shaves just a little bit better/faster than the Arc 5.

On to the shaver...it's amazing! I am Indian male with a thick coarse beard and this thing cut thru it like nothing. I'm coming from the Arc 5 which was good but i wore out the blades.
So I ordered this from Japan. I live in USA and works perfectly. I couldn't believe how fast it shaved my beard lol. Very impressive and powerful. If thinking about buying it, don't hesitate!

The razor is really good. The closest I've come to a blade shave. The only problem was that I didn't know it was coming from Japan. All the instructions are in Japanese so I hd to download the English version from

I have a really tough beard that is very hard to shave. I use it in the shower daily. I have been using Panasonic shavers for many years and this is the best so far. I have tried other brands and I wear them out too quickly, and they do not shave as well as this one. This one is pricey, but worth it.
