The RISE (Resident Integrated Support Environment) program addresses the mental health, financial, and physical health needs of all Hennepin Healthcare trainees by offering integrated support to promote well-being during residency and fellowship training. Funding will expand access to on-demand and fully integrated mental health and primary care service including therapy and coaching for resident populations at heightened risk for moral distress.

Realizing that most medical transcription solutions are built for physicians, the AutoChart team pitched AI-driven transcription technology, built by nurses, for nurses. This solution will help reduce administrative burden for nurses (one of the main drivers of burnout), with the potential to improve the quality of patient care. With the grant funding, the team plans to develop, pilot and validate their software solution – and anticipates major savings for health systems and satisfaction for nurses.
