Down on our state’s southern border sits a town of 9,000 good folks. It’s a town from which the world is receiving positivity, hope and comfort, and it’s coming from a 77-year-old whose motor never stops. “I just finished mowing my lawn,” Brenda Gantt told me. “I’m gonna have a glass of sweet tea and sit on the porch to cool off before I head to the grocery store.”

The down-home, amazing arrival of an internet sensation began just a few years ago. Brenda’s husband of 50 years had passed in 2018, and life for Brenda was slower without George around.
