Behind all his hits, awards and fame, there’s a man and a piano. And that’s how John Legend will perform, solo, at his Oct. 12 concert in Huntsville at Orion Amphitheater, as part of his “A Night of Songs And Stories” tour.

Tickets are $74 to $279 (plus applicable fees). The general on sale begins 10 a.m. Friday, via the Orion Box Office, address 701 Amphitheater Drive N.W., or axs.com.

Born John Stephens, Legend is known for his silky vocals, as heard on R&B smashes like “All of Me” and “Ordinary People,” and golden touch on the piano, which he’s occasionally shared on other artists’ recordings, including Lauryn Hill’s “Everything is Everything.”

Legend isn’t just a Grammy-winner. The Ohio native and University of Pennsylvania grad is an EGOT, that rare air of artists who’ve won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award, the complete set.

Legend is featured as a vocal coach on TV singing competition “The Voice.” The lucky (and talented and handsome) guy’s also married to supermodel Chrissy Teigen. The Orion show is currently the only Alabama date listed on Legend’s tour itinerary.
