Fast-growing Tex-Mex chain plans to open more than 700 restaurants in the U.S.

Burritobar, a Toronto-based Tex-Mex chain, plans to open more locations in the United States.

In June, the brand announced a franchise deal with partners in the state of New Jersey to open 93 franchised restaurants.

The new agreement, reports Eat This, Not That follows similar franchise plans in Michigan, Florida, Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, Iowa, Nebraska, North Texas, Illinois, and Ohio, totaling 750 Burritobar restaurants planned for openning in the United States in the near future.

“Burritobar is witnessing explosive growth in the US market and our accelerated franchise program has been delivering remarkable results with the signing of Master Franchise agreements in Michigan, Florida, Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, Iowa, Nebraska, North Texas, South Illinois, Ohio and now New Jersey” said Jeff Young, Burritobar Chief Development Officer, in the announcement.

Burritobar was established in Toronto in 2005. The Tex-Mex Grill has grown to become a market leader in Canada with over 325 stores the country’s largest and fastest growing Mexican food franchise.

In 2020, the company expanded to the United States under the brand Burritobar and has since entered with commitments to open hundreds of locations throughout the nation.
