Auburn football to send quarterback Payton Thorne, pair of defenders to SEC Media Days

When Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze arrives to Dallas for the 2024 SEC Media Days next week, he’ll be joined by quarterback Payton Thorne, linebacker Eugene Asante and defensive lineman Keldric Faulk, who are all set to represent the Tigers during SEC Media Days, the SEC announced Monday.

Thorne, is entering his second season at Auburn, is expected to be handed the keys to the Tigers’ offense in 2024.

Meanwhile, Asante and Faulk were both standouts on the defensive side of the football last fall and frequently come up in conversations about the team’s leadership and culture council.

Freeze and his trio of players are scheduled to appear in front of the media on July 18.

SEC Media Days will run from July 15 to July 18 at the Omni Hotel in Downtown Dallas, which becomes the fourth city to ever host the event. Last year, the event was held in Nashville for the first time after it being hosted at Atlanta and Birmingham in the years prior.

The SEC Network is set to cover the entirety of the four-day event.
