Top of the Ticker: Former White House senior counselor Kellyanne Conway is anchoring her own weekly series on Fox Nation. Premiering July 11 and continuing through Election Day in November, Here’s the Deal with Kellyanne Conway will explore the major topics driving the 2024 election cycle. “We will go beyond the news headlines and polling toplines to have a deeper conversation and equip the viewers with the compelling illustrative anecdotes and thoughtful analysis that they crave,” Conway said in a statement.

Jeanne is Leaving the Building: After 44 years, “Jeanne Moos, CNN, New York” is no more. The network’s longtime correspondent announced her retirement on June 28. “I’m the shy, retiring type, so I’m retiring shyly, avoiding all fanfare and lingering goodbyes. Just want to thank everyone who helped me do what I love,” Moss said in a note to CNN staffers obtained by E. Jean Carroll.

By the Numbers: BBC One was the U.K.’s leading news network on the nation’s July 4th election night, averaging 4.2 million viewers during the crucial 10-11 p.m hour. According to the PressGazette, ITV 1 came in second place with 1.3 million viewers, followed by Channel 4 with 930,000 viewers. NBCUniversal’s Sky News came in fourth place with 530,000 viewers, and BBC News took the fifth spot with 306,000 viewers. CNN International also provided continuous coverage of the general election, which concluded with Keir Starmer becoming the new prime minister.

Staying across the pond, BBC News has promoted Jonathan Munro to global director. Previously the director of journalism and deputy CEO, Munro will take on new responsibilities in this newly-created role, including oversight of BBC Monitoring and serving as the director of BBC World Service.

Shall We Dance?: CBS News’ parent company, Paramount Global, officially announced on Monday that it has agreed to merge with Skydance Media. After months of tense negotiations, the two entities made a deal that will see Paramount receive an infusion of $8 billion from Skydance, with founder David Ellison becoming the CEO and former NBCUniversal executive Jeff Shell becoming the president. Once the merger is complete, the new company will also look to make $2 billion worth of cuts—which could mean layoffs across the various units, including CBS News.
