Professional Development Mentor Program

The ACNS Professional Development Mentorship Program is an opportunity to network with some of the best neurophysiologists in the world during and after the ACNS Annual Meeting.

Participants may sign up to serve as mentors or as mentees requesting a mentor when they register to attend the ACNS Annual Meeting. The registration form includes a number of questions (medical school and fellowship information, areas of research or clinical interest, etc) intended to assist in matching mentees with mentors appropriately.

Mentors and mentees will be matched prior to the Annual Meeting and will be introduced to one another via email and are then free to correspond directly.

NEW OPPORTUNITY: The mentee and mentor will be emailed quarterly in the year following the Annual Meeting, encouraging the pair to connect virtually throughout the year. These emails will provide topic suggestions for the pair discuss during their meeting.

The goals of the program are to:

  • Foster career development in Clinical Neurophysiology;
  • Encourage active participation in the many activities of ACNS; and
  • Facilitate networking among ACNS members.

Eligibility:
Mentees:

  • Medical students, Neurology residents, Clinical Neurophysiology/Epilepsy fellows, junior faculty at the instructor or assistant professor level and technologists
  • Current ACNS members; and
  • Registered to attend the Annual Meeting.

Eligibility:
Mentors:

  • Associate or full professor level, technologist or clinician with >10 years of professional experience in clinical Neurophysiology after residency;
  • Current ACNS members; and
  • Registered to attend the Annual Meeting.
