Intern Positions:

Intern: Able SC offers internship experiences for students in colleges and universities. Internships range in time and duration based on academic needs.

Volunteer Opportunities

Able SC benefits from the unique skills and time given by individual community members volunteering in its offices, at events, and on special projects. Check out our current volunteer needs below to see if you might be a good fit!

Travel Ambassador: Under the supervision of the Mobility Management Specialist, this position will be responsible for educating and assisting persons with disabilities, older adults, and general public on the availability and use of public transportation and The COMET in a group setting.

Travel Navigator: Under the supervision of the Mobility Management Specialist, this position will be responsible for educating and assisting persons with disabilities, older adults, and general public on the availability and use of public transportation and The COMET in a one-on-one setting.

Driver: Volunteer Drivers assist with the transportation needs of Able SC staff, volunteers, and equipment. Activities could include transporting staff members to community outreach events or consumer meetings or delivering Assistive Technology (shower chairs, walkers, canes, etc.) to our consumers.

Office Volunteer: Office volunteers perform a variety of tasks depending on projects needed to be completed in the office, including answering phones, extending resources, and other administrative tasks as assigned by the Volunteer Coordinator.
