Conversion of the surface coverage values (Fig. 5) into number of Earth’s oceans as a function of temperature in the range [300 − 800] K and for the three water density values 6  ×  10⁸ cm⁻³ (black), 6  ×  10¹⁰ cm⁻³ (red), and 6  ×  10¹² cm⁻³ (blue). The calculation considers spherical dust grains of 0.1 μm average radius (△) and the second, ⟨a²⟩, and third moments, ⟨a³⟩, (*) derived from the grain size distribution.
