Remains of missing teen girl discovered by worker collecting trash along roadway, police say

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV/Gray News) - Police in Tennessee have identified the human remains found in Hendersonville as a missing teen girl from Macon County.

Hendersonville police said 17-year-old Trinity Bostic’s remains were found Wednesday in the wood line along Vietnam Veterans Boulevard.

A Tennessee Department of Transportation subcontracted worker picking up trash along the roadway made the initial discovery, according to investigators.

Trinity was reported missing out of Macon County on June 29.

Police reported a 17-year-old from Westmoreland, Tennessee, was arrested in connection to Trinity’s death. The Hendersonville Police Department said the suspect is charged with first-degree murder and is currently being held in Sumner County Detention.

Further information on the arrest has not been disclosed.

“In order to maintain the integrity of the investigation, no other details surrounding this incident will be released at this time,” Hendersonville police said.
