Evansville Regatta meets with hydroplane racer on the riverfront

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Monday, the Evansville Regatta met with a hydroplane racer on the riverfront.

We’re told they stopped by while going to Madison, Indiana, from Guntersville, Alabama.

Several people came out to meet the racer and see their hydroplane.

President of Evansville Regatta Jason Gardner spoke with us about the support they have received for their club.

“We as an organization for the Evansville Regatta are trying to bring hydroplane racing back to Evansville and they went through Evansville and stopped to just you know help us out a little bit,” says Gardner.

They are trying to host hydroplane racing event August 15 through the 17th next year. They are asking for more people to join the organization and help out.
