Convicted rapist takes plea deal in another case

WARRICK CO., Ind. (WFIE) - A convicted rapist has taken a plea deal in another case.
Court records show that today Kirk Brantley accepted a plea deal for a charge of attempted battery resulting in serious bodily injury.
The rape charge was dismissed according to the court record.
The record says that Brantley was sentenced to 3 and a half years.
Records also show that Brantley has been convicted of other rapes in the past, including a case from 2007.
He is a lifetime registered sex offender.
