Reitz’s Jaylan Mitchell on ESPN Top 25 list of 2027

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Anyone who watched Reitz boys basketball play last season, knows that freshman phenom, Jaylan Mitchell, is something special. The entire country has taken notice too, seeing him play AAU ball, for the past several years.
This week, the 6′8″ forward received some high honors, as he has been ranked 4th in the nation, on ESPN’s Top 25 list of high school hoopers, in the class of 2027.
He was also named to Max Preps’ Freshman All-American team. Mitchell averaged 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals per game, for the Panthers last season.
