Henderson advances after Sweet 16 win in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ken. (WFIE) - A huge match up between two Tri-State teams took place Thursday at the Girls Basketball Sweet 16 State Tournament in Rupp Arena.

The Owensboro Lady Devils and the Henderson Lady Colonels faced off in Lexington after the Lady Devils won the 3rd region tournament.

Tipoff began at 12:30 p.m.

Owensboro was mostly in the lead in the first half, but the back half of the game was tight.

In the end, Henderson wins it 43-39.
