EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - This is a Southridge team, that came out the gate hot, winning their first 8 games. After a middle stretch with some trouble going 3-5, the Raiders are 8-2 since the beginning of February. This a Raider squad that enjoys playing together, has fun on the court, and a group that has certainly learned a lot over the course of the season.

“We’re most excited about, we get another week together and another week of practice, another week to prepare and get ready for another game,” said Head Coach Ryan Haywood. “I think everybody just bought in to trusting one another, and that led to us being a bit more balanced and us playing better basketball.”

The up-tempo pace that the Raiders will see against Bosse is similar to that of Princeton, their last opponent, but for the Raiders, it’s about playing their game.

“For most of the season, we were the underdogs and we came out in most of those games. We like being in that position and playing from behind,” said Junior Guard Tate Whitehead.

“We are who we are, and we have to play a certain style to win games no matter who we’re playing,” said Head Coach Ryan Haywood. “So, I guess that somewhat prepares you for the regional.”

The game tips off on Saturday at 1PM Eastern Time.
