Sorensen's Resort provides a perfect base to explore the gorgeous scenery in and around Hope Valley, located 45 minutes South of Lake Tahoe. Nestled in a grove of aspen trees, accommodations are simple but comfortable log cabins. Some have kitchen facilities and are large enough to accommodate 4-6 people (several are pet-friendly too). Choose from cozy bed-and-breakfast cottages to fully outfitted log cabins and contemporary mountain homes. All lodgings are housekeeping cabins, with daily service available upon request. Guests have access to the resort's facilities, ranging from hammocks swinging under the trees, to a children's catch-and-release trout pond, to the excellent Country Café.
The café serves delicious meals three times a day as well as hot cocoa, tea, coffee throughout the day for our lodging guests. Some of our specialities include classic beef burgundy stew, seasonal fish, New York steak, BBQ chicken and ribs, garden-fresh salads and sumptuous homemade desserts. They also offer an assortment of fine wines, champagnes and imported and domestic beers.
Breakfast 7:30am - 11am (noon on weekends)
Lunch 11am - 4pm
Dinner 5:30pm - 8:30pm (9pm in summer months/outside dining)
Sorensen's quaint gift shop offers a wonderful variety of gift items. Choose from local wildlife and outdoor photography, art and gift cards or books on the Emigrant Trail, fishing or Sierra wildflowers. They also carry a nice assortment of fine wines and a few gourmet foods.
