The Whitney Peak Hotel in downtown Reno is one of the first hotels in the area to not feature any casino gaming. What this stylish and hip does offer are cool rooms that overlook downtown, a restaurant serving organic, seasonal food, a lively bar and events venue, and the tallest outdoor rock climbing wall in the world —right over the Reno Arch.
The Whitney Peak is named after the tallest mountain the Lower 48, Mount Whitney and the theme of the hotel is outdoor fun, sports and style. The popular Basecamp is home to various rock climbing walls as well as a 164 foot outdoor climbing wall with views of the entire city.
The rooms and the Heritage restaurant at Whitney Peak are inspired by the Sierra Nevada mountain range and feature wood and natural decor and accents. The Heritage menu features American cuisine with farm fresh ingredients and great service.
