About Kauai, HI Hotels
Although the island of Kauai is small, lush, and largely undeveloped, there's plenty of hotels ranging from small B&Bs to large resorts boating 600 guest rooms. On the North Shore you'll find mostly vacation rental homes, one tiny hotel in Hanalei and one luxurious resort. Over on the east side is a huge array or hotels, from hostels to B&Bs to huge resorts. Meanwhile the sunny South Shore, the island's true "resort area" is home to many luxurious resorts, from high end boutique hotels to well known elaborate resorts. Out on the West Side, Kauai's version of the Wild West, it's back to one small but beautiful oceanfront hotel and individually owned vacation rentals. There's an abundance of camping spots also if you'd like to sleep in nature, that can be found along the coast on Kauai's spectacular beaches and far inland at the state parks.
