Shoplifting investigation leads to drug arrest in Morgantown

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A shoplifting investigation in Morgantown resulted in the arrest of a Bruceton Mills woman for drug possession.

Morgantown police were dispatched to the Walmart on July 5 and observed surveillance footage showing Jessica Bodkin, 28, concealing unpaid items in a bag.

After placing Bodkin under arrest, police said they found more than 16 grams of methamphetamine, prescription pills, and several unused clear plastic baggies.

Bodkin has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
