She’s got a new look! When 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk star Annie Toborowsky shared a new video message on Instagram featuring her husband, David Toborowsky, fans were quick to notice that her eyelids looked very different and they pointed it out in the comments. But the 26-year-old responded to her fans and confirmed that she did undergo double eyelid surgery, but it was for a very important medical reason and not for vanity. The Thai beauty took to Instagram earlier this week to remind her followers to catch her on the upcoming episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk, but many of them were distracted by the fact that Annie’s eyelids looked very different.

“What is wrong with Annie’s eyes?” one fan wrote, and another commented, “Did you get surgery on your eyes?? Eyelids?”

It looked like Annie underwent double eyelid surgery, otherwise known as East Asian blepharoplasty.

It’s a very controversial cosmetic surgery where the skin on the eyelid is reshaped in order to create an eyelid crease in patients who have what is commonly referred to as hooded eyelids or monolids.

It’s popular among people of Asian descent and the procedure helps them to achieve what is commonly referred to as a more European beauty aesthetic.

While Annie confirmed to many fans that she did undergo eyelid surgery, her reason for going under the knife was more medical than for beauty.

“I had an eyes problem years ago and finally got it done [a] week ago😊😊,” Annie replied in the comments.

But some fans weren’t so convinced. Many of them told Annie that she looked beautiful just the way she was before her surgery.

And Annie wanted to make it clear that she didn’t get her surgery because she didn’t like the way her eyes looked.

“I have an eyes problem and not thing to do with my Asian. Contrast for me, I think Asian eyes is [most] beautiful in the world,” she commented.

And it looks like her husband, David, is supporting her in her decision. When a fan took to his Instagram page to ask about Annie, he explained, “She had a problem that she wanted fixed.”
