Fatal Error.

The following code will cause a Fatal Error in PHP 7.4.

It seems that $post must also be passed in the display_post_states filter hook.

I was able to avoid the above error by modifying as follows

$post_states = apply_filters( 'display_post_states', $post_states, $post );
