We are committed in working to develop a new way of helping some of the many young women, who were born without a womb or who have lost their womb because of illness, to realise their wish of giving birth to their own child.
Professor J. Richard Smith who has an international reputation for the development of fertility sparing surgical procedures leads our UK womb transplantation research team.
We are confident that given the resources, womb transplantation can become an option for women within the next few years.
