Myrtle Beach woman charged with animal cruelty, child abuse now charged with elderly abuse

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — A Myrtle Beach woman originally charged with animal cruelty and child abuse has now been charged with elderly abuse.

Online records show Krystal Alexandria Pinkowski, 37, has a new charge of abuse or neglect with great bodily injury - vulnerable adult with a bond of $20,000.

On Thursday, police responded to a home near Highway 814 in the Myrtle Beach area of Horry County in reference to a death investigation, according to arrest warrants.

During the investigation, officers located the body of an elderly woman who was naked and lying in feces on the front porch of the residence. Officers said they covered the body with a blanket due to the location and due to the body being naked.

The death is still under investigation and the identity and cause of death of the victim have not yet been released. Reports said an autopsy will be performed next week.
