Severe weather made its way through the Grand Strand and Pee Dee Area Monday.

A possible tornado was seen touching down in an open field near Pleasant View in northern Horry County Monday evening.

Thunderstorms and hail were also reported during the severe weather.

One viewer shared a video of the hail in the Forestbrook Community near Myrtle Beach and Conway.

Hail also impacted parts of the Pee Dee as well. One viewer shared what it looked like in Marion County.

A resident in Conway had a large tree fall outside his home due to the strong winds.

One Marion resident said the high winds blew her son's trampoline down the road.

The City of Conway has told residents to shelter in place until further notice as trees are down in the city around Long Avenue at Crab Tree. People should avoid Church Street altogether in front of Conway High School heading towards the beach.

The city has also reported trees are down on Highway 501. Conway crews working to clear the southbound lanes in front of Taco Bell.

Drivers are asked to avoid this area altogether until further notice.

Horry County Electric Cooperative said that they had nine outages which are affecting 2,964 of their members.

Santee Cooper had 313 Forestbrook area customers and more than 180 Conway area customers who have power outages, according to their website map. The website later said that all power had been restored.
