HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — The latest update to the Horry County Schools dashboard for COVID-19 cases said there are 11,600 students in quarantine.
The quarantine count for students sat at 10,000 on Wednesday.

There are 1,045 COVID-19 cases for students and 95 staff cases.
There are 287 staff members in quarantine.
Some Horry County schools have announced virtual learning plans due to the rise in COVID-19 cases.
The following schools are following some sort of virtual learning model:
HCS Spokesperson Lisa Bourcier said, "Daily, HCS collects, monitors, and reports COVID-19 data for all 56 schools in the district to assess our ability to operate schools and provide appropriately staffed instructional programs. If a significant number of staff members are quarantined at an individual school, that individual school may be required to utilize distance learning for students."
