Interested in working with me to make your destination or business inclusive of people with disabilities?

Maybe you’re a long-time WheelchairTravel.org reader or maybe you’ve stumbled upon my page while searching for an accessible travel expert to collaborate with.

Either way, here’s a bit more about me, my background, what sets WheelchairTravel.org apart from every other travel blog, and most importantly, how I can help you reach a highly engaged audience of disabled travelers in the United States and around the globe.

Hello! I’m John Morris

In 2012, I had a car accident that left me a triple amputee and wheelchair user. I faced a long recovery, but in 2014 took my first trip as a wheelchair user. In the years since, I have flown more than a million miles and traveled to more than 50 countries around the world. In January 2024, New Mobility Magazine named me their 2023 Person of the Year in recognition of my work in the accessible travel space.

I am a content creator and consultant who is results-driven — my goal, above all else, is to connect disabled people with the information and resources needed to open their world. I accomplish that through hundreds of engagements with destinations, hotels, airlines and other travel providers — businesses that use my expertise to gain their share of the accessible travel market segment.

I hold a Master’s degree in history from Florida State University and an MBA from the University of Florida. My broad experience, education, and skillset can be a tremendous asset to your project or team, and I look forward to working with you!

The WheelchairTravel.org Audience

WheelchairTravel.org exposes destinations and travel providers to the largely untapped disability travel marketplace. More than one million readers visit the site each year, with approximately 90% of readers identifying as having some form of disability and 68% using a wheelchair at least some of the time. 72% of readers live in the United States, 54% are women and 61% are between the ages of 25 and 54. 71% travel two or more times per year for vacation or leisure, and 87% travel with companions.

Readers of this site are typically eager to explore destinations near and far, with another trip in mind or on the horizon. They love unique experiences, want to check items off their bucket list, and view travel as a worthy use of their disposable income.
