    WFP teams are on the ground supporting communities around the world to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disaster.   Because a world without hunger is a dream we all share.   WFP is grateful to our partner, TikTok, for their generous support to our mission to save and change lives.   WFP is delighted to have partnered with TikTok LIVE on the first-ever global TikTok LIVE Fest creator tournament. 2.3 Million creators in over 50 countries participated in LIVE Fest and 38 Million people tuned into the event page. The TikTok community helped to achieve our fundraising goal of $US 500,000 to fight global hunger, with over 1 Million users helping to unlock TikTok’s donation to WFP’s mission.

    Today, on International Transgender Day of Visibility, we’re proud to highlight our new Safety Center Guide, created to support the LGBTQ+ community. Designed to facilitate the best TikTok experience, the guide shows users how to: 1. Customize your feed with keyword filtering and refresh 2. Control who sees your account 3. Decide who can engage with you This is in addition to the work that we do to enforce our robust rules against hate, harassment and bullying, so that we can maintain a safe and inclusive platform. Our approach is informed by input and partnership from LGBTQ+ advocates and creators, including GLAAD. And, behind the scenes, our commitment to inclusion and belonging also extends to empowering our safety professionals with unconscious bias training addressing issues impacting LGBTQ+ users, and other inclusion resources. Our efforts to build a more inclusive platform are ongoing, and we look forward to expanding these resources to even more communities in the future.
