icymi: hydro rush intense moisture mask won a 2023 Refinery29, Inc. beauty innovator award. here's what deputy beauty editor Jacqueline Kilikita has to say: "I’m an enormous fan of amika, particularly the The Kure Intense Repair Mask. I’ve sung its praises countless times before (it beats Olaplex in my opinion), so I was excited to try the new Hydro Rush Intense Moisture Mask. This is just as good, if not better. I’ve been using it as a conditioner and little goes a long way to breathe life into frazzled, parched strands. My thick, wavy hair feels soft and manageable, which makes it easier to style. I’ve noticed far fewer split ends, too." check out all the winners here: bit.ly/3NPEAUT

our team had an incredible time at jaja's african hair braiding on broadway. the attention to detail in both the set design and the compelling stories of the stylists left us in awe. it turns out, the actors dedicated themselves to a hair braiding bootcamp, ensuring an authentic portrayal of african braiding shops. we're hoping for a jaja's part two so we can go back to broadway!

we're so very proud of our very own Chelsea Riggs for being named one of Ad Age's Breakout Brand Leaders of 2023. as the global president, chelsea has been a driving force behind amika's epic journey to success. thanks to her incredible leadership, we've not only proudly secured a spot in the top 10 haircare brands in the U.S. prestige beauty market, but we've also earned multiple sustainability certifications like B Corp, Climate Neutral, and Clean at Sephora. her passion for making a positive impact has led to amika donating over $1 million to charity partners and ongoing partnerships with organizations like Beauty Changes Lives Organization and the SoGal Foundation to promote equity in the beauty industry. chelsea's dedication and unwavering passion have played a crucial role in our achievements and we couldn't be prouder of her exceptional contributions to amika's journey. read more: bit.ly/47r1Z6u
