Discrimination Experiences Shape Most Asian Americans’ Lives

57% of Asian adults see discrimination against Asians living in the U.S. as a major problem, and 63% say too little attention is paid to race and racial issues concerning Asian Americans. Additionally, most Asian adults in the U.S. have been treated as a foreigner in some way (78%) or have experienced incidents where people assume they are a "model minority" (63%).

Religion Among Asian Americans

A rising share of Asian Americans say they have no religion (32%), but many consider themselves close to one or more religious traditions for reasons such as family or culture. Christianity is still the largest faith group among Asian Americans (34%).

Black Americans’ Experiences With News

Black Americans see a range of problems with how Black people are covered in the news. Almost two-thirds of Black adults (63%) say news about Black people is often more negative than news about other racial and ethnic groups. And while few are optimistic that will change in the foreseeable future, many see ways in which that coverage could be improved.
