A median of 48% of people across the 24 countries have a favorable view of Taiwan, compared with a median of 28% who have an unfavorable view.

In an open-ended question allowing Americans to name which country they see as the greatest threat to the U.S., 50% name China.

More than a third of Americans (37%) say foreign aid from the United States and China both benefits and harms developing countries.

By contrast, fewer than half of Chinese Americans say they have a favorable opinion of China.

Across 24 countries, large shares have an unfavorable view of Russia and no confidence in Putin to do the right thing regarding world affairs.

People around the world see both strengths and flaws in the U.S., but they generally view the U.S. positively, according to a new survey of 24 countries.

Overwhelmingly, people believe the U.S. interferes in the affairs of other countries (82%), but most also believe the U.S. contributes to peace and stability around the world (61%).
