Intern Program

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is guided by the leadership of the Commissioner of Agriculture, a statewide elected position and one of three members of Florida’s Cabinet. Made up of nearly 4,000 staff positions, the department has a presence throughout the state and is headquartered in the state Capitol building in Tallahassee. Interning for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services affords students an opportunity to gain practical experience and offers students a chance to perform meaningful work toward the completion of their degree.

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is open to interested students enrolled in an applicable undergraduate program of study with an accredited educational institution. Students seeking academic credit during the fall, spring or summer term should apply for an unpaid internship.

Students must be able to intern a minimum of 20 hours per week, or for a period as prescribed by the college or school. The number and locations of internship opportunities available each term is based on agency need and opportunity.

Interested students are directed to submit their resume to our Recruitment Section.
