Florida Advisory Council on Climate and Energy

Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Nicole “Nikki” Fried created the Florida Advisory Council on Climate and Energy (FACCE). The members of FACCE will look at how our state can modernize energy policy, diversify energy sources, increase energy efficiency, and create opportunities for our most vulnerable citizens. FACCE will also provide information and assistance regarding policies and programs on such issues as energy efficiency and conservation, renewable energy, climate change, sea-level rise and alternative vehicles.

FACCE Membership

FACCE is a diverse group of industry experts, and its membership is as follows:  

  • Florida Energy Systems Consortium: Dr. David Norton, Director of Florida Energy Systems Consortium and Vice President of Research, University of Florida
  • Community Colleges: Dr. Amy Albee-Levine, Dean of Workplace Development, Lake-Sumter State College
  • Florida City or County: The Honorable Janet Long, Commissioner, Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners; Megan Houston, Director, Palm Beach County Office of Resilience
  • Clean Cities Coalition: Doug Kettles, Director, Central Florida Clean Cities Coalition
