Marvel’s Agent Carter has filled another key role with another notable name. Nikita and How I Met Your Mother actress Lyndsy Fonseca is joining the cast of the upcoming ABC action series.
The Captain America spin-off signed Fonseca to play Angie Martinelli, an aspiring actress who befriends Peggy (Hayley Atwell).
Agent Carter follows the heroine in 1946 as she works for the Strategic Scientific Reserve while secretly taking on secret missions with Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper).
The series also stars Chad Michael Murray as Jack Thompson (an agent with the SSR, James D’Arcy as Edwin Jarvis (Stark’s butler), Shea Whigham as Roger Dooley (the SSR chief who oversees agents Carter), and Cooper as Stark (Tony Stark’s father). Agent Carter will debut on ABC in January.
