After time-delayed broadcasts in years past, the Film Independent Spirit Awards will be broadcast live for the first time.

Film Independent, the group who holds the Spirit Awards, announced on Oct. 23 that IFC will air the show live this year.

The broadcast, which will mark the 30th anniversary of the awards show, is set for Feb. 21, 2015 at 5 p.m. ET. Nominees for the show, which will be held in Santa Monica, Calif., will be announced on Nov. 25. Last year’s telecast was a delayed airing several hours after the awards were handed out.

Last year, 12 Years a Slave swept the major awards, including best feature, director, and screenplay, while Matthew McConaughey and Cate Blanchett won best male and female lead, respectively.

As some hint of which films may be lauded, the Gotham Awards recently announced its nominations, including several for Boyhood and Birdman.
