Jane Seymour to guest on 'Forever' as Judd Hirsch's ex-wife

The third time might be the charm for Forever’s resident antiquarian.

EW has learned Jane Seymour will guest star on an upcoming episode of ABC’s freshman crime procedural Forever, playing an ex flame of Judd Hirsch’s Abe, the close confidant and adopted son of Ioan Gruffudd’s immortal doctor Henry.

Seymour will play Abraham’s (twice) ex-wife, Maureen, whom he can’t seem to stay away from him despite past proof that their sexual tension and fiery passion can be toxic. Maureen re-enters Abe’s life and tries to reignite the flames.

Seymour currently guests on Franklin & Bash as Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s character’s sex-positive mother. Her episode of Forever (Tuesdays at 10 pm) will air on ABC in November.

'Uncle Buck' coming to television, again

Uncle Buck is coming back for a second serving on the small screen.

The 1989 John Hughes comedy starring John Candy is being developed again for TV, EW has confirmed, this time by ABC. Former MADtv writers Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley have created a new spin on the childish babysitter for Universal TV that will be executive produced by film producer Will Packer (No Good Deed).

CBS previously had their own TV remake in the 1990-1991 season starring Kevin Meaney in the title role. However, in that version Buck is named guardian to his nieces and nephew after his brother and sister-in-law die in a car accident. The show only lasted one season after both negative reviews and poor ratings.

'Scandal' sneak peek: Get ready for the most awkward family dinner

Scandal is never ordinary. Case in point, when Olivia (Kerry Washington) invites Jake (Scott Foley) to have dinner with Rowan (Joe Morton), this isn’t a case of a woman introducing her boyfriend to her dad. No, it’s much more complicated than that. In this case, the president’s former mistress asks her lover to have dinner with the man that previously threw him in a hole and tortured him. Say it with me: Awkward.

How will Jake respond to Olivia’s request? Better yet, how will his reunion with fellow B613 alum Charlie (George Newbern) go? Hint: It quickly turns violent. Check out an exclusive sneak peek at this week’s episode:

'How to Get Away with Murder': Who's really the murderer?

It’s the burning question of the fall season: Who is the actual murderer on ABC’s new hit drama How to Get Away with Murder?

On the season premiere, it was uncovered through flash-forwards that a group of students from Annalise Keating’s class attempted to cover up the murder of her husband, Sam (Tom Verica), who was killed with the coveted justice statue Annalise uses as an immunity idol in her class. Who’s the real killer?

“I love everyone creating their own theories,” executive producer Pete Nowalk tells EW. “Some of [the clues] we’ve planted intentionally, a lot of them are subtle Easter eggs of suspicion for the audience, and some of them we didn’t plant and people are still seeing them. I’m hoping people really get into the details and subtleties of the show, and they might even want to watch certain episodes twice or watch those flash-forwards again because they’re all very specific and detailed and full of little clues.”

With the clues provided from the series premiere, we’ve listed 10 suspects—though, to be fair, there’s no guarantee that any or all of them are actually the murderer. Below, we weigh the odds on the suspects and Nowalk offers up juicy teases on what’s next:

'Manhattan Love Story' premiere react: Rom-com pilot offers little to love

The opening act of a TV show needs to grab the audience, give them a reason to stay after the opening credits roll. Even more so with a pilot, the first scene can set the tone for the entire show—and help a viewer decide whether a show is right or wrong.

Manhattan Love Story’s first scene is disappointing—on the verge of offensive—as it introduces two leads who will likely fall in love, and who the show hopes viewers will fall in love with, too. The problem is from minute one, the familiar Love Story makes it a chore to feel anything but disgust or pity for the two leads.
