The first two episodes of New Girl‘s fourth season focused on Jess Day’s (Zooey Deschanel) pursuit of love, but the latest installment takes Jess’s eyes off her own romantic conquests when her father Bob (Rob Reiner) breezes into town with a new girlfriend who has plenty of high school history with Jess.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Kaitlin Olson, who plays the girlfriend in question, talked to EW about crashing the loft tonight for the first of a three-episode arc. “When they offered it to me, I said, ‘Only if there’s full frontal with Rob Reiner,'” she laughs. And, while Olson can’t promise that we’ll see that much of Bob or Ashley (the titular character of “Julie Berkman’s Older Sister”), there will be some incredibly uncomfortable (and explicit) brunch conversation.

Watch the exclusive clip below.

Olson understands why even an eternal optimistic like Jess is “defensive and protective” about her father’s feelings, but she also says the fun in taking on a wild child like Ashley was “play[ing] it so that I was clueless to all of that and just bulldozing over all of the conversations. My character’s such a disaster that it’s fun to [watch Jess] unravel while trying to be really positive.”

As for her first meeting with Reiner, it was much more pleasant: “I was in the makeup trailer, and he came over and gave me a kiss on the cheek and said, ‘I guess we’re in love.’ [laughs] I said, ‘I am in love, Mr. Reiner—definitely in love.'”

Olson will return for another two episodes that have yet to be written, and we hear wedding bells are in store. The full frontal? That remains to be seen.

New Girl airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
