AMD is reportedly going to launch its next-gen RDNA 4 "Radeon RX 8000 GPUs, primarily the Navi 48 & Navi 44 chips, in the first half of 2025.
AMD RDNA 4-Powered Navi 48 GPUs Target A CES 2025 Release While Navi 44 For Entry-Tier Radeon RX 8000 Series Targets Q2 Release
It's been a while since we have seen an update from the Radeon side of things but it looks like AMD is going to stay calm until early 2025 which is when the RDNA 4 action begins. As per @Kepler_L2, it looks like the red team is targeting a 2025 release window for its next-gen graphics products based on the RDNA 4 architecture which includes two chips, the Navi 48 and the Navi 44.
According to Kepler, AMD is expected to introduce its mainstream Navi 48 GPUs at CES 2025 so we are looking at a Q1 launch window while the entry-tier Navi 44 GPUs will be launching in Q2 '25. The AMD Navi 48 "Radeon RX 8000" GPUs are going to offer performance similar to Navi 31 chips & Navi 44 is going to be an entry-tier successor to the Navi 33 series which made its debut on the RX 7600 series cards.

The AMD Navi 48 "GFX1201" and Navi 44 "GFX1200" GPUs have already been spotted & confirmed within various LLVM and ROCm patches. These GPUs are the only ones that have seen continuous patchwork while the high-end & enthusiast-grade Navi 4X/4C GPUs were canceled as the red team focused on solidifying its mainstream gaming segment before pushing out a true "top-to-bottom" family. That will likely be the case for the RDNA 5 GPU family which is going to feature a brand-new graphics architecture and possibly make use of more unique and refined multi-chiplet approaches.
The Navi 48 XTX GPU and its respective PCBs were also spotted in shipping manifestos last month. Although there isn't much known about the exact specifications or configurations, the RDNA 4 GPU family is expected to feature an entirely new ray-tracing engine that's vastly different than the RDNA 3 GPUs.
As for performance, the AMD Navi 48 XTX "RDNA 4" GPUs are expected to offer performance similar to the existing Navi 31 SKUs (XL/XT) while offering better power efficiency. These GPUs are also going to be priced much lower than the top RDNA 3 GPUs so you can expect Navi 31 "Radeon RX 7900" series performance at around $500 US or less. The Navi 44 GPU is expected to be a low-tier design and based on Kepler's other post, it looks like it would feature 8 GB memory while being close to Navi 32 in terms of performance.

As for memory, AMD recently stated in a Micron press release that they look forward to leveraging GDDR7 to make gaming "responsive and lifelike" so that might be our hint at what the next-generation memory standard for the RDNA 4 GPU family would be. Other reports have suggested the use of 18 Gbps GDDR7 memory across all RX 8000 models. AMD didn't reveal much about its Radeon RX "Gaming" side of things at its Computex keynote but we can expect some unveils later this year as we get closer to launch.
