🌲Tree Planting Day with Artelia Philippines 🌳   🌱 We partnered with Make-A-Difference Travel and visited their community at Mount Purro Nature Reserve in Antipolo, Rizal. The day started with an introduction to the effects of climate change in the Philippines, followed by the importance of planting trees to avoid floods and to support the livelihoods of the local Dumagat tribe.   ⛰️ Afterwards the group explored the nearby mountainous area and hiked to Malvar’s Peak, 419 meters above sea level! On the descent, the group created 93 seed postings - including seedlings of jackfruit, curry plant, and narra. These will later be planted once the soil is wet enough to ensure the survival of the seeds.   🌿 Tree planting improves the ability of our forests to sequester carbon, helps to mitigate the impacts of climate change, and improves air quality. Trees play a key role in capturing rainwater and reducing the risk of natural disasters like floods and landslides. A single tree can be home to hundreds of species of insects, fungi, moss, mammals, and plants.   🕊️ Thank you to Dhodil, Dyezze, Femi, Hallena, Jane Camille, Koolyn, Melinda, Ivy, Paula, Philip, Ralph, Rav, Renzy, Rose Ann, Stephen, Tatay Jun, and Vincent for your time, energy, and commitment to helping the environment.

👋🏽Initiated more than 10 years ago and then accelerated by our international growth, the adoption of new post-pandemic ways of working and the emergence of new technologies such as Al, the #digital transition is at the 💙 of the Group's vision. ⏱️A look back at the use of Autodesk's #Cloud solutions and our #BIM strategy based on three key pillars: 🧩Standardization: Standardize our processes and methods for better overall consistency 🔄 Automation: Fundamental to allow us to focus on value-added topics, be more efficient in our business and better collaborate with teams around the world. 📊Data management: A key issue for the company's performance. This means ensuring the reliability of the data and the work being done, improving the speed of processes, and ensuring interoperability, i.e. the ability to easily and quickly navigate data from one software to another. 👉🏾The explanation: https://lnkd.in/g2JSw2FQ #bim #autodesk #digital #digitalsolution #digitalengineering

Last night, I had the privilege of witnessing the installation of the final span of the pedestrian bridge at An Phu metro station in Ho Chi Minh City. This impressive structure, measuring 37.5 meters in length, marks a significant milestone in the project. A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated Artelia Vietnam team, who have been coordinating the safety of the metro construction sites since 2017. Your unwavering commitment and expertise are truly commendable. I would also like to extend my gratitude to our client NJPT and the metro authority MAUR for their continued trust and collaboration. Together, we are bringing this vital infrastructure project to life, enhancing connectivity and mobility in Ho Chi Minh City. #Infrastructure #MetroProject #TeamWork #SafetyFirst #Artelia

🌞 Bringing light and electricity to rural families with ATE Co in Rizal ⚡ On May 9-10, two volunteers, Ralph Uy from Artelia Philippines and Quan Nguyen from Artelia Vietnam, embarked on a trip to Access to Energy (ATE Co) in Rizal. 🔋 ATE Co is an NGO in Metro Manila, Rizal, Quezon, and Samar, where they provide solar home kits to communities that don’t have access to the electricity grid. Majority of ATE Co’s beneficiaries are vulnerable, earning less than $5 per day, and 65% are women. The solar home kits come with solar panels, batteries, and appliances for everyday household needs, such as lights, charges, TVs, and fridges. This helps the children to study after sunset and enables families to start micro-businesses such as hairdressers, karenderias, sari-sari stores, and others. 🌄 On the first day of the mission, the volunteers traveled to Brgy. Sta. Ines. Here the volunteers conducted interviews with households that utilize ATE Co’s solar home kits to understand their usage of it, and how it has brought positive impact to their lives. On the second day of the mission, the volunteers used the information shared during the interviews to conduct presentations targeted to ATE Co staff and beneficiaries. 🛠️ The trainings provided by the volunteers included sustainability, circular practices, and maintenance and repair of solar technology and batteries. The volunteers shared some best practices on how to install and main solar panels and batteries to ensure a long lifespan of the equipment. To conclude the mission, volunteers also had the chance to provide training to beneficiaries with fun games. 💟 Artelia Philippines is glad to contribute to development and social progress by sharing the expertise of our volunteers. Thank you to the volunteers for sharing time and knowledge with ATE Co and their beneficiaries. Thank you to the Artelia Foundation for supporting and bringing the mission to life!

[#PROJECT] 🔍 In September 2023, various multidisciplinary Artelia teams met in #Indonesia to carry out a #study of the initial state of the natural and human environment of an area proposed for a #hydroelectric project. 🤝 This study, led by Artelia Australia, drew on Artelia's international resources (with the help of Artelia EAMO, Artelia Indonesia and Artelia Vietnam) and benefited from the support of a local subcontractor for logistics. More than 15 experts were mobilized, including ecologists, experts in avifauna, herpetofauna, ichthyofauna, societal experts and experts in the physical environment.   🏕 The main challenge was to reach the isolated site while ensuring the team's safety. This required several days' transport by plane, car, motorcycle and on foot. Temporary camps were set up on site. The project was fortunate to have a strong female representation, and particular attention was placed on potential gender concerns to ensure the comfort of the team. 👷♀️👷♂️ Each team of experts, according to their specialty, collected data in the field that was used to identify the issues and sensitivities of the project area: - Alexandra Jaumouillé, Mutiara Tama and two local consultants conducted qualitative and quantitative surveys with the local population to collect socio-economic data on the study area. - Thu Yin Htun, together with local experts, carried out water, air and noise sampling at key project sites. - Emmanuelle Corolleur acompanied the fauna and flora inventories to identify biodiversity issues in compliance with international protocols. - Joel Garrigues supervised the fieldwork, client relations and delivery of the study. This field visit by Artelia's international team of experts enabled us to gain a real appreciation of the site. This information was used to provide a baseline report of the pre project environmental conditions to the client, an important step in the lifecycle of a project.
