Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation

OUR MISSION

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Foundation raises funds to support three strategic priorities of the LVMPD: equipment and technology, officer training, and youth and community programs.

OUR VISION

Our vision is for the greater Las Vegas area to be the nation's safest community, served by the world's best-trained and equipped law enforcement agency, with thriving relationships between LVMPD officers and the neighborhoods they serve.

FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES

Equipment and Technology: Providing our officers with advanced tools like drones and modern equipment improves emergency response times, helps solve crimes more effectively, and greatly increases officer safety in dangerous scenarios, making their operations more effective and efficient.

Joint Emergency Training Institute (JETI):   In times of crisis, training makes all the difference. When a tragic mass shooting happened at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, officers trained at the Joint Emergency Training Institute (JETI) responded swiftly. Their decisive actions, honed through rigorous training, ensured they entered the danger zone without hesitation and used medical skills to save lives. At JETI, programs like Advanced Officer Skills Training, Multi Assault Counter Terrorism Action Capabilities (MACTAC), Reality Based Training, and the forthcoming Indoor Tactical Training Village prepare our heroes comprehensively.

Community Engagement and Youth Programs: Community engagement and youth programs are integral to our mission and that of the LVMPD. We proudly support the DREAM Program (Discover, Redirect, Empower, Advocate, and Mentorship), which provides mentorship to at-risk youth, empowering them to make positive life choices and build successful futures.
We champion youth sports initiatives like Bolden Lions Football Club and Heroes United Hockey, where kids learn teamwork and stay active while building strong relationships with local law enforcement. These programs help humanize the badge and help young people see officers as mentors and role models, fostering trust and understanding early on. The connection contributes to safer neighborhoods and a more united community overall.

Our commitment includes sponsoring community engagement events throughout the year. Events like National Night Out, Easter celebrations, and Halloween Trunk-or-Treats unite residents and law enforcement in meaningful ways. Initiatives for Back to School, Thanksgiving, and Santa Cops/Shop with a Cop allow police to provide essential school supplies, food, and clothing to underserved communities, uplifting them and demonstrating care for those they serve.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteers are essential to the success of our events for guests, officers and supporters. Your dedicated service creates a spirit of cooperation and strengthens our partnership with the community.

GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

Good Ticket Program: The Foundation’s Good Ticket program recognizes LVMPD Officers and civilian personnel for their positive actions in the community. This program is a way to recognize and support officers who, day in and day out, work hard to keep our community safe while showing that humanity is part of the job. The Good Ticket program is part of an ongoing effort to encourage community support for law enforcement through the LVMPD Foundation, which raises funds to supplement LVMPD programs and initiatives, including officer training, updated equipment, and positive community engagement activities. The LVMPD Foundation is grateful to Resorts World Las Vegas for further encouraging community support for law enforcement.

Nominate an officer to receive the Good Ticket: If you have witnessed an LVMPD officer doing a good deed and would like to nominate them for the Good Ticket, please reach out and provide the officer’s information and the good deed you witnessed. LVMPDFOUNDATION.ORG/GOOD-TICKET.

Please contact the LVMPD Foundation to support the Good Ticket and other public safety initiatives for equipment and technology, training, and community engagement.
